By now you should all know about the impending release of the PS Vita. We're all still giddy here at the office, and as expected, following the announcement of the console itself comes more press releases detailing games that will be available at or around launch. We've already told you about one, but of course we aren't stopping there.

The new games, Touch My Katamari, Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen and Ridge Racer should all be available on February 22nd alongside the Vita itself, and we've got some more details on them below.

“We’re pleased today to officially confirm three titles for the PlayStation®Vita system to gamers across North America excited for the launch of this impressive new handheld gaming device,” said Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, NAMCO BANDAI Games America. “Between the innovative new gameplay features in the irreverent new Touch My Katamari, the blistering speed and online connectivity of the gorgeous new Ridge Racer, and the intense, open-ended, assassin-based action of Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen, NAMCO BANDAI Games will be delivering top-tier content for the launch of the PS®Vita in a very big way.”

Touch My Katamari - By now gamers should be pretty familiar with the Katamari series, but if you aren't, allow me to describe it. You are a cosmic prince tasked by your intergalactic dad to roll up everyday objects with a ball until it gets big enough to be made into a celestial object. You know what, skip the description and just check out the game. This latest iteration promises to take advantage of the unique controls of the Vita and new gameplay elements like stretching the Katamari to fit into narrow gaps. We're pretty excited to see more about this one.

Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen - We haven't heard much about this game before now, but what we can tell you is that you take on the role of an assassin named Zen (love it already) and use stealth and other ninja craft to dispatch your enemies. Promising a dynamic story of intrigue and betrayal (did we mention we love this game yet?) this looks like another strong launch title to keep an eye on.

Ridge Racer - We said it before, and we'll say it again. You can't launch a Sony console without a Ridge Racer game, and the tradition lives on with the Vita. Not only will this version feature high-performance racing cars and drift-inducing tracks (I'll bet they have mirrored versions!), but now you'll be able to take the race online at any time with other racers from all over the planet. Sounds pretty great to us!

Those games all sound really strong for launch titles, and with so many other games in the works, it's starting to look like the Vita won't be the gaming wasteland that the PSP was when it first launched. You can be sure we will be spitting out a whole ton more game announcements as they come in over the next few weeks. We couldn't be more excited!
