If for some crazy reason you never play either Joe Danger game on the PS3 you should check out our reviews of the the first game and it's sequel to see just why we love them so much. The games are both "fun" versions of the popular "Trials" events that those crazy motorcross people get into. Combining elements to the classic Excitebike with the goal system of earlier Tony Hawk games, both games are fantastic pick-up-and-play experiences that never get old.

That quick-hitting gameplay makes the series perfect for the portable market and today Hello Games revealed to us the both Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2: The Movie will be making their was over to the Vita sometime next year. We couldn't be more excited, both because we love these games and because the Vita is really starting to come into its own.

Those that might be worried Joe will get the short shrift on the Vita need not be. Not only are Hello Games dedicated to providing you with AT LEAST the same experience you get on the PS3, they chose the Vita specifically because it has enough buttons to let them keep the tight controls (so vital in a game of this type) mapped similarly to the consoles rather than having to fall back on touch or other gimmicks. If you INSIST on wanting to tap the screen for your Joe Danger then they have an iOS port for you. The rest of us will sit here pulling off some sick flips and grabbing all the stars while you tap your screen. Good luck.

While we don't have a firm release date for the two games (or even a firm answer if these are separate releases or one deluxe edition... we are betting separate) we DO know that it will be next year, and likely not too far into the year. Once Hello finishes these ports we can only hope this will free them up to start work on Joe Danger 3: The Revenge or something.

We'll be sure to keep you abreast of any more developments on the danger front, but for now enjoy some piping hot screenshots of Joe on the Vita!
