This week's PlayStation Store update, which went live on Tuesday evening, contained a little bit more content than was previously promised.

That's right. It's still one week before the First Edition PlayStation Vita bundles will be shipped to happy pre-purchasers and two full weeks before regular Vita systems go on sale, but you can already purchase and download digital copies of your very own PlayStation Vita games from the PlayStation Store via your PlayStation 3.

The available PlayStation Vita games don't have visible entries on the PlayStation Store. However, if you search for the games by their titles, they will reveal themselves in the search results for your perusal and purchase. That means you can buy and download some Vita games and have them ready to install when your shiny new system finally arrives in a week or two!

Since we're always eager to help you out here at TPS, we've done the legwork and found which games are already available for purchase on the PlayStation Store, plus their prices and size information.

Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational

It looks like only a select few Sony-published titles are on the PlayStation Store as of Tuesday evening. If we missed any buyable Vita games, please let us know in the comments.

The retail games, sans Uncharted, sport the previously rumored 10% discount for going digital. Whether Uncharted's lack of discount was an accidental or intentional oversight is not known yet. [UPDATE: Uncharted's price has been updated to $44.99 to reflect the 10% discount as of Wednesday.] And don't fret - the online passes for Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational and Wipeout 2048 are probably for people who buy physical copies of the games used. It's highly unlikely that you'll be asked to cough up an extra $9.99 to take your brand-new game online.

On top of all this digital excitement, it seems that Sony-published Vita games don't have an enforced street date, so you could probably head to a local brick and mortar game store and buy physical copies of these games and more starting this week. You might want to call ahead if you plan on doing this, unless you like making fruitless trips to Best Buy.
