It's so cute!

I love the Motorstorm series. There's nothing quite like racing around in a dump truck and making a jump hundreds of feet in the air only to land on some poor sap on a dirt bike. MotorStorm: Apocalypse was some of the most fun I have ever had in an online experience with its betting system and amazing tracks. I don't know how Evolution Studios manages to one up themselves every time but it's great to see one of my favorite series being able to knock things out of the park time after time. Unfortunately Apocalypse touched down in the middle of the PSN outage and because of that it never really had a chance at success with the mainstream crowd. Thankfully the diehard fans supported Evolution and showed that the series should keep going forward.

Enter MotorStorm RC, Evolution Studios' upcoming radio controlled off-road racing game for the Vita and PSN. It was just announced a short while ago and thanks to the PS Blog we have the very first details.

There are eight vehicle classes: Buggies, Superminis, Rally Cars, Muscle Cars, Racing Trucks, Supercars, Big Rigs and Monster Trucks. Each of these has been shrunk down into a mini-version on all four MotorStorm worlds in 16 different tracks. This means you can run through the dusty deserts from the first Motorstorm, the jungles of Pacific Rift, the icy tundra of Arctic Edge, and of course the disastrous world of Apocalypse. You can challenge friends on both the PSN and Vita for the fastest time in any event, and when you're on the PS3 version you can also have four-player split screen races. The Pitwall introduces an Autolog-like feature that keeps track of times and activity.

Best of all, when you pay once you get both versions. That's right, no matter which one you get you will get the other and you can play on your big screen TV and on the go with the Vita. Your progress is carried over on both so if a friend beats your time you can immediately hop on anywhere and prove your superiority.

Motorstorm RC will release next spring and you can be sure we'll have more details leading up to its release. If you're a MotorStorm fan then go ahead and rejoice in the comments section below.
