WipEout Pure Track Packs Come to a Close
No more free tracks for you, mister.

Well, it finally happened. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe finally let the slave labor coders of the Studio Liverpool team loose from their cages, their endless hours of post-release toil coming to a close. After eight freakin' Download Packs replete with new tracks, classic tracks, classic tunes, new ships and new interface skins, the WipEout Pure team can finally kick back and... take a shower or something.
The download packs as a whole, along with this final Delta Pack 2 available as of right now - which includes the Koltiwa and Khara Descent tracks and the AG Systems and Triakis skins - almost doubles the amount of content available after you buy the game. Oh, and it's all been completely free. If we could hug those guys and girls, we would, but they're probably a little stinky.
With both Delta Packs installed, you now have the option of a speed-based full tournament to go along with the default ones that came with the game (just medal on all the new tracks in any class), the Gamma tournament from the Gamma Pack downloads and the Classic tournament from the Classic Packs. Sony encourages players to experience the tracks at max speed, which means you'll have to unlock the Phantom class for the fastest ships.
We've got a final batch of screens up now, but feel free to poke around and check out some of ; this really is one of the most gorgeous games ever made - and for any platform. If Sony decides to kick out more music packs or skins and craft, we'll make sure you guys know about it.
