Lara Lands on PSP
Woo hoo, she's finally here!
Published: June 21, 2006
It's been a tough extra couple weeks for PSP fans, having to watch as their console brethren languished in the joy and bliss that was Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider update. We're of course talking about some kind of Bizzarro Land where someone would own a $200+ PSP and not a $130 PS2, but let's just go with it, hmm?
The days of waiting are behind us, and that time spent pining after what is widely regarded (okay, only we seem to think this) as the best Tomb Raider game in the series means good things come to those who wait. Good things to the tune of exclusive multiplayer modes (in obstacle course, racing and treasure hunting flavors), new unlockable skins for Lara, new 3D wallpapers and some nifty image galleries. Think of it as Eidos and Buzz Monkey giving you a little somethin' extra... because Sony said they had to.
Whatever the reason, it means even more Lara to love, and we're pumped that Tomb Raider: Legend is even getting a PSP release. The fact that it's quite the looker to boot (have a peek at the screens to your left if you don't believe us) says something too, but it's always been about Lara's... um, skills rather than her looks that's been the attraction, right? Right? Head on out to your nearest game store to get a peek, or wait around here for another day or three and you'll have your very own review to check out.
