PlayStation Store for PSP Is Go!
The long-awaited PlayStation store is now accessible on a PC.

Those of you who out there have a PSP but have yet to pick up a PS3... well, you're missing out. The PlayStation store has given PSP owners access to PSone games, wallpapers, and other assorted goodies -- provided that users have a PlayStation 3 to act as an intermediary. That's inefficient and exclusionary, but until now, there was no alternative. As of today, Sony has remedied the problem by opening access to the PlayStation store from any PC.
Simply log in with your PSN account, which is free to create, and you're ready to go. Those who have already made purchases on a PS3 system will be able to access them from the web interface. It gets even better: full PSP games are also available for those who can't scrounge up the gas money to take a trip to the local store. Sure, the selection is pretty damn limited right now: it's either Syphon Filter: Combat Ops or Wipeout Pure.
If you want a bag of chips, too, you're going to have to wait. But isn't that always the case in the console world? We wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of small downloadable games pop up for the PSP in the future, once this adaptation of the store gets off the ground.
