They have comics there too, right?

Who wouldn't want to be in sunny San Diego? THey have something like 340 days of sunshine there. I used to like in Alaska and we could literally got 60 days in a row with no sign of the sun. So I for one would love to be in San Diego. Now I know what you are saying, there really isn't much to do in that one-horse town, but thankfully the comics convention has decided to grace the tiny hamlet with its presence. But WAIT you are saying to yourself. I really don't like comics! Well not to worry, because as long as you like video games, and of course you do, there will be plenty of reasons to hit comic-con 2009.
In the not quite PS3 news department, Namco will be hosting a giant Tekken 6 tournament at comic-con. From July 23-26, you can compete against the best Tekken players from around the world in the ultimate exhibition. No word yet if Marshall Law, P. Jack and that weird pedophile King will be there competing too, but this reporter sure hopes so.
Not to be outdone, Capcom will have a huge booth showing off all their upcoming games, including Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Dark Void, and the newest Resident Evil game. Capcom will also be hosting a number of symposiums on a range of topics including an overview of their 2009 lineup, a fighting games roundup, and a special session on how to get a job in the industry. And of course what Capcom even would be compete without some special Monster Hunter Freedom Unite DLC available right at the booth. 8 free quests will be available on the show floor, half suitable for beginners, and the other half for more experienced hunters. All in all, it looks like a great convention, so put on your Wonder Woman diadem and head over!
Finally, UbiSoft will be hosting a panel about Assassins Creed 2, and the convergenence of video games and movies. As part of the panel, UbiSoft will be screening a series of short films that are based around the game, and were written by Corey May, who also wrote the games screenplay. UbiSOft will also be rrevealing gameplay footage for the first time. AND if you find all the flags hidden throughout Comic-Con, you get a silver trophy!
