Mental exercise games are a dime a dozen now a days. They all do the same thing, but with a twist. So far you can pick, tell the age, boost, quiz, and feed your brain. Hmm... wonder when they will give us telekinesis.. Anyways... now you can raise the temperature of your brain, and on the go to boot.

Midway has just released Hot Brain for the PSP. It's pretty much the same formula as the rest of the others out there; they give you different series of puzzles and challenges in different subjects (math, logic, language, blah blah blah) to raise the activity of your brain. They also say it is designed to raise the "temperature" of your noodle too. Hmmm... reminds us of the "This is your brain on drugs" commercials and the frying egg. But there is one thing that the rest of the mind teaser games can't just compete with: A superstar guiding the way.

What's better than playing a brain training game? Playing one with a comedic actor blabbing in your ear. "With comedic legend Fred Willard as your guide, Hot Brain not only teases the mind but tickles the funny bone," proudly toots Steve Allison, Midway's Chief Marketing Officer. So you have trouble with a certain puzzle on the game? Let Fred Willard's voice guide you to Everybody Love Raymond and mental attunement bliss!

There are a couple of modes which are worth mentioning, they being the requisite co-op (Think Tank) and versus (Brain Race) bits to thicken things up. These allow you to speed up your thought processes or learn how to function in a group. Also if you really can't figure out what "2+2=" they have a tutorial to teach you what you should have been paying attention to in grade school.

So if you buy this game...we have a challenge for you: put a thermometer in your mouth and tell me if you can make it bust.
