Gurumin Grabs Voice Acting Vets
You may not know their names, but you definitely know the voices.

Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure is one of those games that we hope actually moves a couple of copies when it hits early next year. Part of it is that we have a little crush on Nihon Falcom, the folks behind the Ys series, and part of it is just that Mastiff is such a lovably small publisher. What can we say, we love the little guys.
We also love that despite being fairly small, Mastiff was smart enough to recruit some big-name voice actors to give an English speaking voice to the digital characters in Falcom's little monster-filled adventure. Seriously, the voice cast reads like a best-of collection of some of the biggest names to donate their pipes to cartoons and video games over the past couple years.
[url=Amber Hood (who's done everything from Onimusha 2 to La: Pucelle: Tactics to to Psychonauts to Baldur's Gate to EverQuest with stops in The Polar Express and Shark Tale) will voice Parin, the main character. Tara Strong, whose voice was enough to make all of us in the office fall in love with Rikku in Final Fantasy X, X-2 and Kingdom Hearts, will play three different characters in the game. Dee Bradley Baker (who voices approximately 20 billion cartoon characters all over Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network shows) also pulls triple duty.
Joining these three are of Justin Shenkarow (Hey Arnold!), Kim Mai Guest (Mei Ling in all the Metal Gear Solid games), Robin Atkin Downes (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), Michael Gough (Diablo I, II), Steve Blum (God of War, every game and anime series known to man) and Quinton Flynn ([umd=2]Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children[/umd]), and all will be directed by Kris Zimmerman (who helped guide the voices in Tomb Raider: Legend and Metal Gear Solid 3, among others).
So, you see, we're a little pumped about hearing how all this ends up sounding. If nothing else, there can be no complaints about the actual cast (unless you're just an anti-anime hater), and as we get a little closer to the February release of the game, we'll keep the updates coming.
