Boy, the things you can find out from a fiscal report. Sure, Take-Two Interactive dropped a lot of numbers and dollar signs that are to be expected from a fiscal 2005 report, but the NYC-based company also dropped a little something else amongst those yearly reports and net revenues: never-before-announced titles for 2006.

Console gamers who might have missed out on revisiting their favorite worst city in America will soon have the chance to, as the once PSP-exclusive Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (the top-selling title for its platform in October and November, Take-Two was proud to report) will make its way to the PlayStation 2 in Q2 2006.

And while we're on the topic of Grand Theft Auto, you may like to know that an all-new GTA game will be one of the two new PlayStation Portable titles Rockstar Games has planned for the fiscal 2006. Also expected to launch in the fiscal year from Take-Two are Rockstar's Bully, Major League Baseball 2K6 (both PS2 and PSP-bound), Torino 2006 and NBA 2K7 under the 2K Sports brand, The Da Vinci Code, Prey, and 24: The Game from 2K Games, as well as Hummer Badlands and a multi-platform Family Feud from Global Star. Happy New Year indeed!

"Clearly, the holiday season did not live up to anyone's expectations. While it is difficult to assess the impact of the hardware transition on our industry in 2006, we remain confident in the resilience and future prospects of Take-Two and the global video game business," suggests Paul Eibeler, President and Chief Executive Officer. "We have assembled some of the industry's best development capabilities supported by strong financial resources, and we expect to capture market share in an expanding Xbox 360 installed base and from the anticipated introduction of the PlayStation 3 later this year. We are focused on driving both top and bottom line growth in the video game marketplace by producing high quality titles for a diverse and expanding audience."

We're sure to receive updates on this chockfull of upcoming titles in the coming weeks, so check back as we bring 'em to ya!
