Aside from being a new Strategy RPG for the PSP, Generation of Chaos pretty aptly describes our lives here at PSX2.

NIS America announced a new Strategy RPG for the PSP today: Generation of Chaos. Developed by Idea Factory, who have created the rest of the Generation of Chaos series, it currently has a planned release date of Spring 2006.

The first of the Generation of Chaos titles to hit our side of the Pacific, Generation of Chaos places you in the shoes of Allen of Zodia, who feels the inexorable need to end war and bring peace to the world. You will be forced to start off with a rather meager kingdom, but through the course of the game you'll be given ample opportunity to build it and watch it grow, conquering neighboring nations and spreading your righteous peace.

One of the major draws of the game will be its epic, sixty-character battles. Two 30-soldier armies can face off in real-time with troops and commanders being fully customizable. You can also apparently pick your wars as you are given the decision whether to ally or fight against your neighbors. These decisions will ultimately affect the outcome of the game.

Spring 2006 may seem like a ways away, but it should be well worth the wait if NIS America's previous track record is any indication (bringing us such fantastic games as Digaea and the more recent Phantom Brave). We'll continue to bring you coverage of Generation of Chaos as it continues to trickle in!
