Dynasty Warriors PSP Gets Dated
Step inside for the info.

Koei finally announced today what most already knew: Dynasty Warriors will join the PSP on store shelves day and date with the launch (that'd be March 24 if you didn't know), complementing the massive lineup of launch titles. It's a welcome announcement, though, and just means we'll have to sell another kidney (what's that, like six?) to have enough money to buy all the games we want come launch day.
According to KOEI, DW is the top-ranked action game for the PSP in Japan, and will probably end up pretty darned high on the list over here too, considering how many people can't seem to get enough of all the hacking and slashing that is the series' hallmark.
Lest you think this is a run-of-the-mill port, though, think again. KOEI has tweaked the maps and gameplay to be more compatible with the shorter play times that Sony feels most PSP gamers will be taking part in as they fire up their PSPs on busses, trains, car rides, while clothes dry, and so on. A Pokemon-style collectable element in unique bodyguards allows players to find and utilize hundreds of officers with unique skills to help out in battle or trade using the PSP's Memory Sticks.
Now if you excuse us, we have to go find out black market bookie and set up another appointment with Dr. Nick in the back alley behind the 7-Eleven to pocket s'more cash for the PSP launch.
