Care for some fully-charged, white-knuckle destructive racing on your PSP? You're in luck! Electronic Arts has sent Burnout Legends on its merry way today, destined to collide head-on with stores shelves by tomorrow. While this isn't a new Burnout game, it is a compilation of the best moments from the original Burnout, Burnout 2: Point of Impact and the critically-acclaimed Burnout 3: Takedown, but with new modes of gameplay, cars, and secrets to boot.

"The fastest, most destructive racer on consoles is now the fastest, most destructive racer on handhelds," concludes Alex Ward, Creative Director, Criterion Games. "Burnout Legends completely reinvents the most explosive moments from Burnout's history for on-the-go automotive anarchy."

Legends features eight modes in all, including crash, road rage and pursuit, plus the ability to challenge friends on Wi-Fi, with a GameShare option allowing for sharing levels.

Believe it or not, the boys and girls at Criterion who developed the game are also behind the frighteningly realistic PS2 first-person shooter that is BLACK, now gunning for a February 2006 release. We'll keep you updated as details arise on it, but heck, get yourself a copy of Burnout Legends for now, why don't you? After all, it is the topic of this news story.
