Worrrrrrrrms!
With a headline like that, there’s no mistaking what we’re talking about.

The idea of taking our favorite insult-dishing, weapon-touting worms on the go came as music to our ears when it was first announced. As much as we enjoyed screaming obscenities at the computer monitor as our shrimpy army got blown to bits by uncannily accurate enemy A.I. fire, we'd much rather be doing the same while riding the bus or sitting in a hospital waiting room (try it, it's fun). And now that Worms: Open Warfare has shipped, we're simply tingling inside knowing how many unfortunate people we'll piss off with our Worms-induced potty talk.
"Team 17 has delivered a game that returns to the much-loved 2D Worms gameplay while retaining all of the same humor and the outrageous arsenal of weapons the franchise is best known for," recaps Mickey Torode, senior global brand manager, THQ. "Continuing the franchise that has seen global sales success for the past decade, Worms: Open Warfare for the PSP system and Nintendo DS offers all-new single and multiplayer features providing handheld gamers with the ultimate in pick-up-and-play gaming mayhem!"
The game brings plenty of portable-specific features to the battlefield, perhaps most notably a WiFi multiplayer mode that four players can get in on. In a solo campaign, players will take on a host of scurvy A.I. enemies who should be no more than target practice for your massive arsenal of classic Worms weapons. The spineless warfare spans a vast number of obscure landscapes, from London and Hawaii to outer space (three of the six added new ones), all which can be randomly-generated at player’s whim.
Ready for duty, solider? Worms: Open Warfare wreaks havoc on the PSP with an “E10+” rating and a $39.99 price point. Battle awaits!
