Soon-to-be-Told Legends
SOE’s follow-up to Untold Legends is finished and questing for a mid-March release.

Sony Online Entertainment has already established itself as a name to be reckoned with in the PC world of MMO titles and even in the PS2 community, with its beefy Champions offerings. In the handheld realm, on the other hand, SOE is yet to secure such stature ground, due mostly to the first lengthy but lacking Untold Legends game.
But hey, that’s what sequels are for, and juicing up where its predecessor went dry is just what Untold Legends: The Warrior’s Code intends on doing. It also plans on hacking up retail in the near future, seeing as SOE gave word of its reaching gold status today.
“We are weeks away from shipping the highly-anticipated sequel to the top-selling RPG game for the PSP system and one of the best selling games for the system since launch,” gushed Chris Sturr, senior brand manger, Sony Online Entertainment. “Based on early responses to The Warrior’s Code, there is quite a buzz about the enhancements, upgrades and changes made to this game.”
The “buzz” Chris speaks of most likely centers around the game’s revamped combat and graphic offerings. In what hopefully spices up the hack ‘n’ slash experience (and trust us, there will be plenty of it), the upgraded combat engine now allows for an expanded array of attacks and special abilities, the former said to be “dynamic attacks of opportunity.” Reworked visuals are highlighted by dazzling new lighting and special effects.
As five shape-shifting (and fully-voiced to boot) characters, players will venture through five cinematic-packed chapters in all, rife with 45 new hand-crafted areas, over 40 original monsters and a total of 12 huge boss battles. Feature-wise, this one offers and enhanced item system and a fresh user interfaced that’s been crafted for ease. To top off the experience, an online multiplayer mode makes its debut, allowing for both co-op quests and player vs. player battles worthy of four players.
Untold Legends: The Warrior’s Code embarks on its retail-bound quest starting March 14, so keep ‘er here for updates until then, dungeonheads.
