CES 2005 is the place to be, as companies have, one after another, been unraveling and revealing projects for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) that have for months been in development and hitherto a secret. One of those was publisher Activision, who has announced and given first details on Spider-Man 2 and Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix, both as handheld versions of their console counterparts but featuring some nifty PSP exclusives.

Spider-Man 2 has players swinging all throughout Manhattan to protect the city from Doc Ock and a host of other Marvel villains in 19 of the game's new levels. Activision ensures the PSP version will offer "amazing console-like 3D graphics," as well as an enhanced combo system with the addition of new moves such as "the cocoon," "web net" and "heavy web ball."

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix brings the nationwide blitzkrieg down to size, with a World Destruction Tour taking players through 13 levels of tagging, pranking and sick tricks galore. The old-time favorite, Classic Mode, also makes an appearance, where players race the two-minute timer to collect S-K-A-T-E, secret tapes and so on. Exclusive to the PSP version are the addition of four city levels -- Las Vegas, Atlanta, Kyoto and Santa Cruz -- that have their own set of original goals and unlockable characters. Utilizing the PSP's wi-fi capabilities, THUG 2 Remix allows for four-players to wirelessly skate it up in 10 mini-games such as "Combo Mambo," "SLAP!" and "Scavenger Hunt." Better yet, players are able to put their own mug in the game using any memory stick, certainly a cool feature to see carry over to the PSP.

Both Spider-Man 2 and Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix are scheduled to rock stores with the PSP launch, which has its current sights on March of this year. As new details arise, we'll bring 'em to you.
