Why Hello, PoPoLo!
Agetec’s charming RPG sees the light of retail.
Published: December 6, 2005
Adding to the all-too-slow expansion of the PSP’s library of role-playing games(and heck, giving you all the more reason to carry around your sleek handheld sidekick all hours of the day), Agetec has kicked to retail today a Japanese-style stab at the genre, PoPopLoCrois.
From the combined minds of G-Artists and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, this “unbelievable” RPG is about as fantastical as they come, with fiery dragons, fearsome monsters and malicious plots coming about a dime a dozen. As the adventurous Prince Pietro, players take on the daunting quest of saving the kingdom from the wrath of the Ice Demon, and while they’re awake it, awaken the Prince’s mum, the queen of PoPoLoCrois, from an eternal slumber.
"PoPoLoCrois is a highly anticipated role-playing game for the PSP," states Mark Johnson, vice president of marketing, Agetec, Inc. "It is a beautiful adventure with an exciting storyline that people of all ages will enjoy this holiday season."
The artwork in this one is sure to be unmistakable, with a clever zoom feature that can be used to observe the attention to detail up close. With an always handy quick-save option, a whimsical soundtrack only fitting for an RPG and classic turn-based battles, PoPoLoCrois promises to keep players enthralled through its 30+ hours of gameplay. All the more excuse to delay the holiday shopping!
PoPoLoCrois should be journeying into game stores as you read this, carrying with it a $39.99 price tag. Be sure to check back for our full review!
