Hey, remember that time when you were playing chess and then all those ninjas broke into your place and you were getting the crap kicked out of you but then suddenly you remembered the words of your dying grandpa that told you were you were the Chosen One and you suddenly leapt back from the brink of death to totally kick the crap out of all the ninjas in a single ass-kicking awesome-fest?

And remember that one time when you jumped into your car and screamed out the window as you hauled ass down the freeway at 100 miles an hour to get that new chess game because you know full well that chess games get you laid by huge fake-breasted nympho nurses suffering from a condition that they need sex to cure them of a horrible disease?

No? Well, that's probably because neither of those things will ever really happen (and god do we wish the nurse one would). Or so we think. See, the latter is something that Konami is trying to fix. Well, the first part anyway. They're doing so by pumping out -- wait for it -- a chess game for the PSP. The whole idea is that the basic game of chess is mixed with a handful of fantasy realms to create something a little more interesting than the classic centuries-old game of strategy.

This is a PSP game, though, which means that Online Chess Kingdoms has the ability to hop online, provided Konami and developer Leviathan Games decided to tap the PSP's infrastructure mode, which, given the name, would be kind of retarded if they didn't. But they did, so hooray! Hopping online lets you form alliances and struggle to help take over territory in a persistent online world.

And now, the game is out. Meaning you can jump into that online world and experience the joy of chess melded with fantasy all. you. want.. High five!
