EA Notches Two Titles to March Launch

Industry giant Electronic Arts is looking to kick off the North American release of the PlayStation Portable like no other, as it has announced at CES 2005 the addition of MVP Baseball and FIFA Soccer to its launch line-up --also including Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Need for Speed Underground Rivals, NBA Street: Showdown and NFL Street 2: Unleashed -- for a total of six launch titles.

Development of all six games is being done by a newly-formed team known as EA's Team Fusion, which is composed of 150 developers from EA Canada and EA Tiburon. Each title is to utilize the PSP's wi-fi capabilities for head-to-head multiplayer, in addition to original modes of gameplay, party mode and EA TRAX Pocket, which says a lot for the system's sound quality, if anything.

Expect to see all six titles on shelves right alongside the sleek PSP itself this March. EA has added a new PSP section to its site at psp.ea.com, which is to be continually updated with game details, trailer, screens, and all the good stuff. We'll be sure to get those goodies to you too.
