Marketing at 480x272

EA has launched a PSP-sized web site for NCAA Football.

One of the joys of using the PSP is that, thanks to firmware upgrades, it's now possible to hop online and surf the web. Wait, did we say joys? We means massive pains in the ass, but that's mainly because most web sites (ours included, though that'll change soon), aren't really formatted for the PSPs funky wide-yet-shallow screen. 480x272 is not a common resolution; it's low-res, even by ancient web design standards, and the 16:9 format doesn't make viewing most pages easy.

But EA loves you! They love you even more if you have money burning a hole in your pocket and a passion for all things NCAA Football, the 07 installment of the perennial college football classic is indeed coming to the PSP (along with most of EA's sports lineup for that matter), and to make sure you've got as much info (spin by the masterful hand of EA's sales and marketing departments, of course), they've constructed a handy little web site.

The official NCAA Football 07 PSP site (that's http://www.psp.ncaafootball.com for those of you not reading the site via the PSP -- which we've already established is more than likely all of you) doesn't just fit itself nicely to those 480x272 dimensions, but everything on the subsite is pre-formatted for the PSP; wallpapers, videos, screenshots, and even RSS audio (read: podcasts) feeds are all lovingly hand-sculpted to fit that funky ass resolution. See? Told you EA loved you.

If our own goodies aren't quite enough, head on over and check things out, and if they ask, tell 'em TPS sent you.
