There Goes Our Hero...
...watch 'im as he goes...
Published: October 23, 2006
Oh, hi there. We were just quoting lyrics to Foo Fighters songs (probably incorrectly, but we're sure to get an e-mail or twelve telling us about that), and then trying to link them to the fact that Medal of Honor Heroes -- y'know, that PSP version of the MoH franchise that you've played about 50 billion times over -- is shipping to stores now and should be on shelves Wednesday. Hey, look at that, we did it! So, this news story is over, then? No? You want more info? Fine, but don't say we don't ever do anything for you.
Now, see, if you'd been following the game at all, you would have seen in our news coverage that we with monkey poo crazy over the fact that it's, well, portable MoH. On the one hand, it means that of course the juggernaut that is the World War II shooter has finally defiled our precious little black brick, but on the other, it means there's some potential for awesome. What kind of awesome, you ask? The kind that involves 32-person multiplayer, we answer. Cause we like blowin' yo mind like that. Is it blown? Is it?
Good.
Now you can let all this sink in; 15 maps, a completely new storyline that links the heroes of previous games together in new locales -- Jimmy Patterson from the first Medal of Honor and Frontline, John Baker from Allied Assault Breakthrough and William Holt from European Assault. Yep, that's officially rather neato. As you play, you'll also unlock 20+ characters from the series that can be used as skins online when you play against those nearly three dozen other folks or eight of them via Ad-Hoc.
With an absolutely unheard of number of portable online players, there's plenty of... um... you're not even listening anymore, are you? You've totally checked out and you're ready to go buy the game. That's cool, we were just going to tell you about the thing... with the guy... ellipses... fade out...
