Konami knows that for many comic fans, Marvel: Ultimate Aliance just won't cut it for portable gaming. The PS3 is many things, but it is certainly not portable. Fear not! Leaving nothing to be lost in translation, Konami is shipping Marvel Trading Card Game to stores and it should be available by the time you read this.
Players create a dream team and go up against the AI, and in a fashion similar to Metal Gear Acid, players use the "deck system" to precisely plan for whatever the opposition throws at them in card-based battles. You might be expecting more cards to be unlocked as you progress through the game. You'd be right. But would you expect vivid illustrations by the Marvel team to accompany these valuable card unlocks? Okay, you probably would, and that's exactly why Konami is including them for your viewing pleasure. An online store will allow card purchases, and players can go head to head in tournaments to defeat the fiercest of the fierce comic book nerds to obtain cards and internet superstardom.
