GameTap Picks' Best of E3
No, that's not a random apostrophe attack, that's what GameTap is calling their awards.

Clearly we have a thing for GameTap. After all, Turner's broadband service for downloading games that range from the first kicks of video games all the way up to the birth of modern 128-bit console and high-end PC gaming days really has nothing to do with this site. We're about PlayStation, stuff, man, and yet we still can't help but give those kooky GameTap kids some love.
Why yes, yes it is a slow news day! But that's not why we're doing this. That's not entirely why we're doing this.
See, GameTap was at E3 too. In fact, the Space Ghost was interviewing luminaries from the industry (which is why we didn't get interviewed, of course), but in addition to broadcasting a ton of stuff from the show, (unlike our poor editors stuck in meetings the whole show and waaaaah waaaah waaaah), they actually hit the floor, took notes and decided to kick out awards for just about every category you can think of.
“We launched GameTap as a hub for the videogame lifestyle, and our GameTap TV area as the premier video-on-demand engine to serve that audience, so covering E3’s hottest games was a natural fit,” oozed Ricardo Sanchez, GameTap’s VP of content. “GameTap is the largest broadband entertainment site when it comes to on-demand games and videos, and as the leading destination for games after they leave the retail channel, we expect the best games of today to be on GameTap tomorrow.”
