Get Your Guilty Game On
No, really, Majesco really wants you to. Why else would they be shipping Guilty Gear Judgment today?
Published: September 5, 2006
Well it’s about time, Majesco! Oh, how long you’ve kept us waiting with that nebulous “spring 2006” release date, standing in the way between us and our long-overdue reunion with the testament to 2D fighting splendor that is Guilty Gear. But no more! Right when we least expected it, the Jersey-based company gave word today that Guilty Gear Judgment has made its belated stride onto store shelves nationwide.
“Guilty Gear Judgment offers gamers incredible value by combining two deep fighting games on one UMD,” said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing for Majesco. “Both games feature the character-driven game play and unique signature attacks that have defined the Guilty Gear series across multiple systems and made it a fan favorite.”
In one corner, we have the fast-paced arcade fighting of Guilty Gear X2 #Reload, with 23 characters and six modes of play at your disposal (get ready for Arcade, M.O.M (Medal of Millionaire), VS CPU, Survival, Training and 2-player Head-to-Head) Then there’s the brand new side scrolling fighting that is Guilty Gear Judgment, sporting a cast of 21 GG familiars (if we must namedrop, those include Sol Badguy, Potemkin, May, Dizzy and Faust), with original combos each to his own, a host of playable modes and two-player co-op, courtesy of Ad Hoc.
The Day of Judgment has arrived. Make darn sure that smarmy store clerk knows it once you plunk down $39.99 for your copy of Guilty Gear Judgment. Oh, and tell ‘em TPS sent ya.
