SOE's Troop Support
Sony Pictures' games division wants to give soldiers stationed abroad a little love, and you can help.

It's not often a promo for a video game actually does a little good, but we have to hand it to Sony Online Entertainment; offering to pony up $500 and a handful of PSP games to deserving men and women stationed abroad. It's all tied into promoting Field Commander (which hits on May 23), but they certainly aren't making it terribly obvious.
So here's the deal: if you know someone or are someone in our Armed Forces stationed far from home, you can whip up an 250 word or less essay detailing why they (or you) should pocket one of five $500 Sony Style gift cards (which you can use in both the swanky brick-and-mortar stores or online), two copies each of Frantix, GripShift, Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade and it's sequel, The Warriors Code, along with two Field Commander t-shirts. Why two copies of the game? So you can get some hot, hot multiplayer action going, of course.
Got your essay all brainstormed? Good, then toss a copy to Sony's e-mail address and let them know about the deserving serviceman/woman. You have until May 10th, so there's time to procrastinate (just like us!), and the winners will be announced, appropriately enough, on National Armed Forces Day, May 20th.
