"God of War II demonstrates our continued commitment to provide compelling content for the PlayStation 2 and sets the stage for the God of War franchise to become a staple across the PlayStation family of products," remarks Jeff Reese, director, software marketing, SCEA. "There is so much more of the God of War story left to tell and we are excited to bring the franchise to PSP -- fans may even see their esteemed God of War in full 1080p HD in the not-too-distant future."
You’d think we’d be sated as it is with God of War II making its much-anticipated release today, but wow, talk about freaking bomb dropping. God of War on PS3? Yessir, at full friggin' 1080p and with SixAxis and rumble support, as a chatty GOW2 director Cory Barlog revealed at the game's midnight launch.
God of War PSP? Already set for 2007, with early word (ok, so it’s on the back of the GOW2 manual) confirming its development is in the hands of Ready At Dawn Studios, creators of the surprisingly stellar Daxter.
An official announcement of Kratos’ portable romp is sure to follow, but now you can't claim you didn’t see it coming!
