Sudoku a Go-Go, Baby!
The puzzle game that’s been spreading like wildfire has infected a new medium: the PSP.

A year ago, the word “sudoku” would likely have been mistaken for a type of sushi by your everyday Joe Bag-a-donuts. My, how times have changed. We dare you to flip through a newspaper without spotting the grid-heavy puzzle that has quite simply taken the world by storm, albeit twenty years overdo its initial craze in Japanese papers.
Sudoku is everywhere, and if you haven’t been penciling in single digits on your daily commute hitherto, Ubisoft has another suggestion: play it on your PSP instead.
"Ubisoft is very excited to bring Go! Sudoku to the PSP system," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "Now everyone can enjoy this incredibly addictive game on the go, against the clock or competing with friends."
Go! Sudoku is the portable gamer’s excuse to get sucked in to the addiction, sporting well over 1,000 puzzles in four flavors of single-player difficulty. Beginners and self-proclaimed “mastas” alike are encouraged to try their hand at the game, which the former crowd having the benefit of Training and Tutorial modes as well as permitting players to make up to five errors per puzzle sans the punishment. Heck, even deck out the background screen with personal photos, you individualist, you!
In addition to the wealthy Solo mode comes three forms of multiplayer play, with Pass, Versus and Battle modes. This one is also Internet-ready, with up to 200 additionally downloadable puzzles and a records board that are yours for the seizing (or “pwning,” if you so choose).
