You Have The Right To Remain… DEAD (omg)
Namco tries to pull PSP-goers away from the void of the Summer dry spell

Namco today announced they have shipped Dead to Rights: Reckoning for the PSP. Replete with wireless 4-person multiplayer, an original story prequeling to the classic Dead to Rights and a satisfying amount of animal abuse to be found in Shadow, the playable sidekick canine.
UK based developer Rebellion is promising improvements on the PSP exclusive title. Chronicling the first adventure of Jack Slate, players take on the role of the toughest cop on the lower east side (in fictional Grant City) who must clean up the streets, bring the bad guys to justice, and carry and fire two big guns at once. Joined with Slate is the crime fighting dog, Shadow, who, for the first time, is able to take on boss characters.
Multiplayer will be wireless and deathmatch in form. Accumulated points in the multiplayer can unlock additional multiplayer skins, levels, and cheats.
"With its fast-paced action, sharp graphics, and multiplayer firefights, Dead to Rights: Reckoning' is a perfect fit for the PSP system," barked Jeff Lujan, business director with Namco; "We have added a selection of all-new moves and features based on fan requests to deliver the ultimate hard-boiled cop action experience, and one of the most heart-pounding portable gaming experiences available."
Is it good? Damn if I know. It is on shelves now, you can pick it up and decide for yourself, or, you can be patient, play some more Lumines, and wait for our review. Hey, it’s up to you.
