America is the land of... acquisitions (thought we were going to say free, huh?); every single day some company is buying another one. We all remember when that dude got bajillions of dollars to sell Myspace. It’s inevitable. The same thing happens in the video game world. Today’s main dish...

D3Publisher of America is looking to acquire Vicious Cycle Software. Where have you heard those names before? Well if you played a little game called Puzzle Quest then you know that they can make sweet music together (although we still think the AI on that game is a cheap sonofa). With the constant working relation shit they have had over the years and with VC getting ready to drop Dead Head Fred for the PSP, methinks D3 has their eyes on a sparkly little gem there.

"Having worked with D3PA for the past few years, we know the company shares
our passion for creative excellence and our commitment to quality," stated Eric Peterson, Vicious Cycle Software’s President. "We're thrilled to become a part of D3PA and we look forward to contributing our creative talents to D3PA's portfolio of innovative games."

He's just saying that because he still gets to remain president of Vicious Cycle. So remember folks, America is the land of the... free (HA! We got you again!), so acquire all you can.
