New Classics
With Capcom Classics Collection Remixed, it’s out with the old, and in with the… well, enhanced old.

The notion of playing retro titles from the heyday of gaming while on the go is a mighty appealing one, and with recent outings like the Namco Museum Battle Collection, it’s quickly becoming a reality. Not to be left out of the action, Capcom has hopped on the wagon by giving its own lil’ compilation series a portable outing with Capcom Classics Collection Remixed.
If “portable” comes synonymous with “minimal,” think again sparky, as this anthology is rife with 20 hits of yesteryear, including 1941, Avenger, Block Block, Captain Commando, Magic Sword, Quiz And Dragons, Street Fighter, Strider, Three Wonders and Varth, to name a few. As the title would suggest, the “remixed” flavor comes in the numerous ways to spice up these classics, such as customizable controls and changeable screen ratios. Give that LAN switch a toggle and you’ll be getting your ad-hoc game on with other retro junkies in a flash! And for your unlocking pleasure, original artwork and remixed music is a-waitin’.
Need we say more? Oh, right, the release date. March 2006! Mark those calendars! Mark ‘em, we say!
