Brothers In Hands
Sergeants Baker and Hartsock are about to cross some uncharted territory. We’re talkin’ portable territory.

It seems like just yesterday that we were mouthing off about first-person shooters on the PSP, or rather, the lack of performance from the current contenders. But if giving established WWII-based franchises the ol’ portable try is what it takes to beef up the genre, then so be it. EA did it with Medal of Honor, and now, Ubisoft is trotting the same path, with today’s announcement of Brothers In Arms D-Day. A PSP exclusive, if you couldn’t guess, from Ubisoft Shanghai in cahoots with Gearbox Software.
You’ve seen D-Day in almost every other light, but now, see it through the eyes of Screaming Eagle Sergeants Baker and Hartsock and their squad of paratroopers throughout the Normandy invasion (heading to Carentan as Baker and toward St. Sauveur while manning Hartsock).
Players now have a few new tricks under their helmets, including surprise attacks on enemies, destroyable cover, smarter A.I. and some destructive new squad tactics, such as leading a bazooka team, ordering a squad on an MG42 or having them fire mortars. Makes things go... boom!
Sporting the aforementioned and even co-op multiplayer (12 different Skirmish missions in four different game modes are open to you and a friend over ad-hoc), Brothers In Arms D-Day will be landing in retail this fall. Keep your eyes peeled for first shots of the game this week.
