Fresh off its suc... well, release, of Dead to Rights: Reckoning, Namco Hometek has another third-person action shooter up its sleeve by the name of Bounty Hounds. Set hundreds of years in the future, humans have spread colonization all throughout the galaxy, but are nonetheless on the lookout for habitable planets. When a hostile alien race known as the ETI (Extraterrestrial Intelligence) threatens war over colonizing new territories, a group of human mercenaries called the Bounty Hounds are called upon to take out the threat and find a save planetary harbor outside of Earth, at the expense of any other hostile race that stands in the way. Some things never change...
"Bounty Hounds features non-stop action and a tremendous selection of weapons and items that will keep players fighting to unlock rare and powerful equipment," assures Yoshi Niki, Business Unit Director at Namco Hometek Inc. "We have taken advantage of the wireless connectivity of the PSP by offering multiplayer features that are sure to become a favorite of gamers everywhere on the go."
The numbers are really piling up in this one: 40 species of aliens that need a brusin', 40 involving missions, 500+ varieties of weapons (including some dual-wielding action), armor and items, and partridge in a... aw, forget it. Interestingly enough, the advanced enemy AI is said to adjust in difficulty based on your character's current health and weaponry, which hopefully means no million-to-one showdowns. Two modes of the games can also be downloaded wirelessly: a single-player Trial Mode and the head-to-head Vs. Mode.
Bounty Hounds is on the prowl this fall, so peep back for those awesome details, won't you?
