Majesco meets with Codemasters in a Shady Alleyway

Partnership hopes to infect the PAL mainstream with games.

Majesco and Codemasters are dealing.

In a partnership that will shatter all manner of casualness, Codemasters has agreed to distribute twelve of Majesco's titles to PAL territories. Though most of the games include a mix of Wii and Nintendo DS titles, Blokus Portable: Steambot Championship for the PlayStation Portable is also included as part of the deal.

"Majesco was looking for a pan-European partner who shares our belief in the strength, quality and depth of our product portfolio whilst contributing measurably to the energy, focus, talent and distribution breadth required to maximize their potential across the PAL territories," Jason Dutton, Managing Director, Majesco Entertainment International said about the deal. "We are delighted that a publisher of Codemasters' heritage and quality shares our perspective and we look forward to working with them in 2008 and beyond."

"Codemasters has a dynamic network of established European offices and distribution bases that will extend Majesco's product reach through PAL territories," Tony Williams, chief operating officer, Codemasters said about his company. "This will be a very positive partnership given that Majesco has an exciting and diverse range of original and established titles that complements our European portfolio."

Translation: casual games sell and both companies want to make loads of cash.

Eight of the titles will be out in time for the holidays and four other titles will trickle out over the course of 2009.
