Oh, Ubisoft, you sly devil! Just as we came off giving you props for bringing Taito’s Japanese goodness stateside, we’re forced to once again give you an “A” for effort in Americanization. The clever publisher we speak of is in the process of giving North American PSPs a little Korean luv, with the inking of a worldwide licensing agreement with Sonnori Corporation to bring Astonishia Story, a chivalrous RPG that’s been rocking PCs and PSPs all over Korea, to territories across the globe. Except Japan and Korea, of course.
“Astonishia Story is one of the acclaimed games for the PC and PSP system in Korea and we are excited to add this quality RPG game to our PSP system lineup,” offered Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. “Astonisha Story brings a rich and simple experience that will satisfy the PSP system owner’s desire for a RPG game.”
This one is about as fantastical as they come, putting you in the mail of an honorable royal knight whose out to recover a stolen sacred relic, or in his mind, the key to prosperity and fortune. To do so, though, he’ll need the help of local wizards and a host of mysterious allies to aid him along the quest. Best sharpen up those people skills, boy!
Astonishia Story journeys to North American retailers this March. Once additional details or media happen to wander our way, we’ll be sure to post ‘em!
