Big news out of EA today with the announced delay of Battlefield Hardline across all platforms.

On the Battlefield Blog, DICE VP Karl Troedsson broke the news that the next entry in the Battlefield series is launching in Early 2015, with no explicit release date mentioned.

This move by the powers that be is reportedly due to fan feedback from the recent Battlefield Hardline beta that ran last month. Troedsson stated regarding the delay:

"This feedback also spurred us to start thinking about other possibilities and ways we could push Hardline innovation further and make the game even better. The more we thought about these ideas, the more we knew we had to get them into the game you will all be playing. However, there was only one problem. We would need more time. Time that we didnít have if we decided to move forward with launching in just a couple of months."

Troedsson specifically called out Multiplayer Innovation, Single Player Story Depth, and Stability as areas of focus moving forward. Stability is a particularly hot-button issue for Battlefield fans given the plethora of bugs that plagued the launch of Battlefield 4.
