After being unceremoniously and mysteriously let go from game developer Bungie, Marty O'Donnell strikes a legal win against his former employer.

In a report by GamesBeat, O'Donnell purportedly reached a settlement with Washington-based game studio over his sudden termination from the developer this past April. The settlement will total over $95,000 which includes legal fees and unpaid benefits, amongst other damages.

Marty O'Donnell was employed by Bungie since 2000, with his work featured across many hit titles including Oni, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, and Halo Reach. His work on Destiny is said to remain in the game despite his abrupt departure from the team. At this time, it remains unclear what the exact circumstances were in O'Donnell's firing from Bungie "without cause."
