On August 31 in North America (and over the next couple of days in Europe and Australia), people will be able to download a demo for Vanquish from PSN. The demo takes place in the lobby of a space station (seems as good a place as any) and has a lot of robots that need to be blown up (don’t they always?). It sounds like a lot of options are available for accomplishing this task, thanks to a variety of weapons and abilities. There’s a boss fight.

Vanquish comes out on October 19 in the US (and, once again, over the next few days in Europe and Australia). It looks pretty crazy, and it’s hard to tell how the cover-based shooting, dashing around and melee combat will gel, so it’ll be good for people to get a preliminary taste of the action.
