Two days. Two days! That's all the time you have left to ready the campout gear, scrape up the pennies and nickels, or go through whatever other preparatory process you please in order to gear up for the PlayStation 3 launch (or, if you're like most, softly weep in a corner over the disappointment of not getting one).
And rest assured, game publishers are just as intensely anticipating it as you are. Seriously! Just ask Activision, who today shipped the remainder of their PlayStation 3 launch titles - Call of Duty 3 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - to retails nationwide, just so they can sit untouched on shelves for 48 hours of downtime before being snatched up by dozens upon dozens of sleep-deprived gamers. Joy!
"This holiday season ushers in an exciting time in the video game industry," blurted Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president of Activision Publishing. "Each of the console platforms offers a unique opportunity to provide fun and innovating gaming experiences to audiences worldwide. Our diverse holiday slate offers something for everyone from super heroes to skateboarding to epic World War II battles."
Talk about variety! We've actually managed to get our grimy hands on that smorgasbord of next-gen sweetness (from [urlhttp://ps3.totalplaystation.com/ps3/Marvel-Ultimate-Alliance/previews/4610=]super heroes[/url] to skateboarding to epic World War II battles) so be sure to read up on 'em before joining in in the launch night festivities. Be sure to direct your horror stories to our forums: we'd love to hear them!
