Bethesda Softworks, famed developer of Fallout 3 and the legendary Elder Scrolls series, took a massive step towards its goal of world domination. The company has opened a Benelux office in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, bringing the total number of studios up to six. For those who are curious, the company is headquartered in Maryland, but has established offices in London, Tokyo, Paris, and Frankfurt.
In addition to assisting with Bethesda's global publishing duties, the new office will oversee sales and marketing across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxemburg.
"This is another exciting step for Bethesda Softworks. The opening of the Benelux office comes as we look to the launch of our terrific 2011 AAA line-up of games, including Hunted: The Demon's Forge, Brink, and Rage" said Sean Brenna, Managing Director of Bethesda Softworks Europe. In regards to the studio's new General Manager, Brenna stated, "Menno Eijck brings with him [from Namco Bandai] a wealth of experience which will benefit us greatly. We are very happy to welcome him into the ZeniMax family."
Hugs all around! They have a great new studio and some excellent looking games to publish. Bethesda, would you please spread some of that joy and just announce Elder Scrolls V already?
