Aren't you lucky? Due to overwhelming fan response, Namco Bandai today revealed that the Jedi Master Yoda will be a downloadable character for Soulcalibur IV on Thursday, October 23 on the Playstation Network. Once a console exclusive character, players will soon be able to pit the short little snotling against the clearly superior Darth Vader for the true epic battle between dark and light. Or alternatively test his might against the cheese-fest that is the Apprentice.
There's no official word on pricing yet, but it's nice to finally see this happen. They've done a pretty good job of supporting this game with the DLC and it's a fantastic fighter to keep fans of the genre pleased until we're hit with Street Fighter 4 next year and the long-awaited release of Tekken 6. In the meantime however, i'll certainly enjoy pounding the stuffing out of Yoda with my custom-made Shao Khan.
