Tired of carving in Port Carverton? Miss those thrilling real-world locales that were sort of recreated in earlier Tony Hawk games? Well lay down some new grip tape because Skate 3 is set to grant both your desires then!

Launching tomorrow (June 8th) the new $4.99 DLC for Skate 3 will feature a replica of the park being used for this years Maloof Money Cup. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Maloofs, they are a group of overly rich brothers who own casinos and sports teams, and they are known for their women and their wild eccentricities (they will get totally fascinated with cookies, and spend millions buying cookie companies and trying out new recipes). Oh and they sponsor a huge skateboarding competition every year.

This years Money Cup is taking place on the abandoned site of the 1964 World's Fair (whatever happened to World Fairs?), the lovely "Flushing Meadows," former home of the New York Mets and host to the US Open of Tennis. Actually I should say "took place" since it was this past weekend, and Chris Cole took home the cup (and I guess $100K, although there are more "Money Cup" events later in the year) for the second year in a row.

Lovingly recreated in Skate 3, gamers will have their own chance to skate the course, and compete against some of the biggest names in skateboarding as well as their fat classmates who couldn't hope to ollie over a roll of pennies in real life. While you wont be taking home any cash in this contest, it is a chance to shred some new surfaces and grind some new granite. Check out the Maloof Money Cup DLC tomorrow on PSN!
