Scott Pilgrim Gets A New Ex-Girlfriend
The DLC arrives to finally fill out the roster and the map...
Published: November 10, 2010
Scott may have already got the girl (or all the girls, depending on who you finish the game with), but that doesn't mean he isn't still a restless youth, lost amid a sea of growing expectations and responsibilities. It also doesn't mean that you aren't willing to jump on the subspace highway back into Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game for another trip through Scott's psyche. Thankfully some long-rumored DLC has finally dropped (in conjunction with the movie release on DVD and Blu-ray) onto the PSN and adds a few new spices to the pot.
Knives Chau is finally confirmed as the well-all-knew-it second unlockable character, joining Nega-Scott, and opening up a whole series of questions as to who her striker will be when she activates it. Does she get Scott in her ending? Maybe she gets ALL the boys? Maybe she gets all the girls... we can't wait to find out!
If a new character isn't enough to get you to jump back in, maybe a couple of new modes would? The first new mode is Battle Royale, which is, well, a big fight (boss rush, anyone?), and the other mode is Dodgeball, which of course plays like the classic dodgeball game from the River City universe. For a mere $2, all this can be yours... and even if you can't afford two double cheeseburgers, there is also a free patch out that allows people to freely drop in and out of co-op, which will alleviate that having to wait for someone to finish a level downtime. So jump back into the Scott Pilgrim world one more time!
