Welcome to Shipping Out, our weekly notice of all them thar games that ship from publishers to retailers in preparation for their street date a day later. In many cases, these games won't be on store shelves until tomorrow, but in the interest of getting the word out, letting the PR departments have their fancy quotes and saving us sanity as the weekly releases pile up, we're going to be consolidating everything down into one handy little news story at the end of the day, along with this description. Neat, eh? And lazy!

It's the TPS way.

[PlayStation 2]

Nada!

[PlayStation Portable]

[Supermarket Mania]

This is actually a mini! Our newest member of the team, Brian Albert wrote this excellent piece containing a lot of useful information for amateur supermarket managers. No, really!

[PlayStation 3]

[Red Dead Redemption]

It's Grand Theft Auto in the wild west, and then some! While we would strongly suggest you wait for Sam's review, it seems pretty safe to say that Rockstar has done it again.

“We wanted to bring our vision of the American West to life,” explained Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “With Red Dead Redemption, we tried to make players actually feel like they are an outlaw living in the last days of the Wild West.”

A review will be up soon!

[Rocket Knight]

Okay, I'm not going to pretend like I know shit about this game. That is why you should much rather head over here, and read Ryan's news story about the game. And yeah, also because I very likely am the laziest guy at TPS. (You're in good company. -Ed)

[Split/Second]

Who thought Burnout and Stuntman could be melted together to form one hell of a tasty toffy? The very talented guys and girls at Black Rock Studio, responsible for the excellent ATV racer Pure, had that crazy idea and came up with something fresh and exciting, judging from all we've seen and played of the game so far.

"When we were early in development on the concept, we expected racing fans throughout the world to be passionate about Split/Second but the feedback since we announced the game has far exceeded our expectations," said Nick Baynes, game director, Black Rock Studio. "We wanted to create something really fun that had never been done before in the racing genre and Split/Second accomplishes that."

And Craig Relyea, senior vice president, global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios added: "With massive environments that players can dynamically change to take out opponents and alter the track, Split/Second redefines the action racing genre and provides a whole new level of fun for all video game fans.” He went on: "Black Rock Studio is among the world's best game development studios and Split/Second is an incredible entry in their impressive portfolio."

[Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse – Episode 2: The Tomb of Sammun-Mak]

Sam & Max are back in the second episode of their third season! Do you seriously need us to tell you again how awesome Telltale's unorthodox dream team is? We aren't kidding around, so get on that PS Store, NOW!

Oh, and don't forgot to check out JD's actual review of Episode 2: The Tomb of Sammun-Mak at the end of this week!

[Shrek Forever After – The Video Game]

Your typical licensed game to a movie. Probably nothing to get too excited about, however one shouldn't judge a book by its cover, right? RIGHT?! We will let you judge this book, eh, video game based on a movie.

Here's what Activision got to say about the game: “The Shrek Forever After video game offers fans an expanded look at the final chapter in one of the most beloved animated franchises of all time,” said David Pokress, head of marketing for licensed properties, Activision Publishing, Inc. “The game offers a fun-filled social and collaborative experience which will allow families to come together again and again to share the excitement.”

That's it, ladies and gentlemen! As you can see, there's a lot of good stuff this week for you to spend you hard earned cash on. And, we're out!
