Mickey “The Wrestler” Rourke to play 'badassmothafucka' in Bethesda's and Rebellion's Rogue Warrior.
Published: April 27, 2009
Rogue Warrior has been in the works for quite some time now and was originally planned as a 2007 release. Now that the game has shifted developer from Zombie Studios to Rebellion the game's almost done and is set to be released in the fourth quarter of 09's fiscal year. It's set in the 80s book universe of “real” Navy Seal Richard “Demo Dick” Marcinko, a time where the world is still split in two by what they call the “iron curtain”. If you've had the chance to read one of the books then you know that there will be twists and turns so get ready to be surprised by a conspiracy or two.
It has been out there for a while now so if you've been reading a preview or sorts lately then you probably know already. But for those who don't, here is the news: Award winning actor Mickey Rourke is going to do the voice of Richard Marcinko, the game's main (pro)tagonist. We know and love Rourke from movies like Sin City, 9 ½ Weeks or most recently The Wrestler.
Well, that's all the press release has to offer so we are going to fill these lines with random writing about the fact that there's nothing more to write about. Clever, heh'?! Ok, now that you know we can stop. Now. Really.
