Rock Band Gets Patriotic For Election Day Releasing A Downloadable 3-Pack From The Presidents Of The United States Of America

Feather Pluckin' or Ted Price? Tough choice, why not both?!

November 4th will be a busy day won't it? You'll have a choice of voting in the Presidential Elections, touching Ted Price or sitting comfortably in your home rocking out with 20 free downloadable songs for Rock Band. Obviously not content with offering up 20 free songs to their eager fans however, Harmonix and MTV Games have even more downloadable tracks due to hit on Tuesday. I'd personally argue that all of this pales in comparison to the fact that I will be missing the chance to see Liam Gallagher swagger about on stage in Glasgow giving people the finger, but apparently all these election shenanigans are somehow more important than Oasis. Nonsense I say.

So then, what songs (besides the aforementioned 20 free 'uns) are up for grabs? Well there's 3 tracks from The Presidents Of The United States Of America although sadly the alt-rock classic "Peaches" did not make the cut. What is available is still good however with "Dune Buggy," "Feather Pluckn'" and "Ladybug" being available for purchase for $1.99 each or $5.49 for the 3-pack. The three tracks join one of the band's best selling singles "Lump," which is already featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack.

In addition the new Fall Out Boy single "I Don't Care" from the band's new album Folie á Deux will be available alongside Hinder's new single "Use Me," from the band's new album Take It To The Limit, which launches on the same day. Both of these tracks will be available for a discounted price however. You'll be able to pick both songs up for $.99 each until December 4th, at which point they will return to the normal price of $1.99.

Not bad eh? Then again will you really want to be prancing around like a tart to Fall Out Boy when you could be spanking the collective buttocks of the Chimera invasion fleet on the same day? Stay tuned for our Resistance 2 review, or take a gander at our preview and just buy the game anyway.
