The good folks at Harmonix have been tirelessly pumping out downloadable content for Rock Band, week after week, almost without fail, since the game shipped. That's no small feat, and more than any other game (yes, we're including Guitar Hero III in there, though none of us would short change Neversoft), Rock Band's approach to DLC has been nothing short of groundbreaking. Who knew people were that down with adding tracks (more than 300 of 'em now) to their collection for a couple bucks per song -- to the tune of 21+ million downloads.

Apparently, Harmonix knew, and it's not just about single tracks, but full albums (something Guitar Hero III and later iterations also share). In addition to releasing The Pixies' "Doolittle," Judas Priest's "Screaming for Vengeance," and The Cars first, self-titled album, they've announced that come Thursday, after parting with just under $11, you'll be able to add Megadeth's "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" to the list.

The album features eight tracks in all, including the titular track, plus "Wake Up Dead," "The Conjuring," "Devil's Island," "Good Morning/Black Friday," "Bad Omen," "I Ain't Superstitious" and "My Last Words." Not a bad a deal, considering each of the tracks individually go for the usual $1.99. Either way, you can go about it piecemeal or the whole shebang come this Thursday.

Keep in mind, too, that all the downloadable content from Rock Band can be transferred over to Rock Band 2 when that hits in a few weeks. The question now is, how much Megadeth can you handle? We'll be hitting the skins to find out ourselves in a couple days...
