[Rock Block] September 28th
Break those Chains that bind you!
Published: September 28, 2009
With all these fancy pants music games offering new songs almost every week, we figured we'd come up with a quick, easy (and lazy) way to consolidate all the news of what you'll find on the PlayStation Store and in the games' own stores (if they have 'em) each and every Thursday. Handy? Yeah, we know, but that's just the way we roll.
Bear in mind that this includes both the obvious titles like the various Rock Bands and Guitar Heroes out there, but can also include straight karaoke affairs Sony's own SingStar titles or the Karaoke Revolution games too, not to mention stuff from other publishers that fit neatly into this category. No, there won't always be stuff for those other games, but at the very least, the tidal wave of DLC can be easily managed right here. Bear in mind that in many of the bigger games, the DLC will work for both the newest and previous entries into the series, so just because you don't have the latest and greatest versions, we'll still be able to keep you up to date.
Yes, we love you too.
[Guitar Hero 5]
[The Yeah Yeah Yeahs]
“Dull Life”
[The Faint]
“The Greeks Were Right”
[Editors]
“Munich”
Price: Single Songs - $1.99 | Three-Song Track Pack - $5.49
That's it this week for GH5. I have to say, they are falling behind Rock Band BIG TIME in the DLC category. But it is about to be ROCKTOBER, so they are also discounting a few songs at a huge 25% discount! Check out the list...
The Killers – “Mr. Brightside”
Travis Barker - “Low (Travis Barker Remix)”
Blink-182 – “What's My Age Again”
Rick Springfield – “Jessie's Girl”
Queen – “We Are The Champions”
Blind Melon - "No Rain"
Ram Jam – “Black Betty”
Nickelback – “Because of You”
Smashing Pumpkins - “1979”
Foreigner – “Hot Blooded”
[Rock Band 2]
American alternative metal outfit Breaking Benjamin will release three songs for Rock Band Sept. 29, day-and-date with the band’s fourth album release, Dear Agony. Not to be outdons, Alice in Chains will release a single from THEIR newest album, along with a collection of stuff from their historic back catalog. That might have been sarcastic. Oh yeah, and a couple of other tracks too...
[Alice in Chains]
“A Looking in View”
“Check My Brain”
“No Excuses”
“Rooster”
“Would?”
[Breaking Benjamin]
“I Will Not Bow”
“So Cold”
“The Diary of Jane”
[Just Kait]
"U Suck"
[Kula Shaker]
“Hey Dude”
“Knight on the Town”
Price: Single Songs - $1.99 | Alice In Chains Track Pack - $8.49
[Rock Band Unplugged]
Two more track as usual! At least this time it's Foo Fighters. A little bit of trivia about "Monkey Wrench". In the video, Dave Grohl can be seen humming along to some Muzak in an elevator at the start of the song. The song he is humming to? A Muzak-ed version of their last single, "Big Me" (the Mentos spoof). Impress your friends!
[Foo FIghters]
“Monkey Wrench”
“Lonely As You”
Price: Single Songs - $1.99
And that's it for now!
