Rock Band and Guitar Hero Grabbag!
I will not rest until we get Elvis!
Published: July 22, 2009
It's been DAYS since the latest music-game-genre update, and can I just say it amazes me how much these people put out! Don't they sleep? Don't they think WE sleep and thus can't keep up with all the releases? I guess not because it keeps on coming!
First up is a HUGE track pack for Rock Band available NOW, and featuring 21 tracks for the semi-reasonable price of $29.99! Here's the thing though... it's the COUNTRY Track Pack. So if you are reading this in the bible belt, read on. If you live somewhere else, wou might want to skip down to the part about teh Beatles track pack. Unless you are under the age of 40, in which case you might want to skip FURTHER down to the Guitar Hero 5 info.
Featuring 21 tracks from some of country’s biggest artists, such as Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Kenny Rogers, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and Shania Twain, Rock Band Country Track Pack is a standalone software product that allows owners of Rock Band and Rock Band 2 to keep the party going with a whole new setlist. Of course, it will be released as a disc-only SKU at first, but the tracks will make their way online as time goes by.
In other Rock Band news, Harmonix and MTV today announced 15 new tracks for the forthcoming The Beatles : Rock Band. Featuring tracks spanning the entire career of the Fab Four (listen young'uns, they were a really big ddeal back in the day), the newest announced tracks feature many favorites and a few lost gems.
