Our second batch of Rock Band news today is a little less funky than the previous, strangely lacking in bananas and utterly devoid of Harajuku girls. Then who cares right? Exactly. Problem is though in some of the backwater wastelands of this planet, legend has it people actually listen to country music. Yeah it's weird as heck but considering that these backwards monstrosities sporting webbed feet actually buy a considerable amount of this stuff, it's destined to join the ever-expanding catalogue of Rock Band downloadable content come mid-December.

The press pack states that the pack includes the impressive line-up of renowned country artists including Grammy Award winner Brad Paisley with "Mud on the Tires," the honky- tonk country classic duo Brooks & Dunn with "Hillbilly Deluxe," and all-American trio Dixie Chicks with "Sin Wagon." Country lovers can also look forward to Dierks Bentley's #1 single "Free & Easy (Down the Road I Go)" and Miranda Lambert's standout single "Gunpowder & Lead." I'm sure you're as excited as I am for this upcoming release. The tracks will be available on December 18th 2008 for the standard $1.99 each and $8.49 for the 5-pack. Personally my fingers are itching in anticipation of the Goa Trance track pack Harmonix is now doubt plotting to unveil shortly, complete with water bottle accessories and pill-popping motion controls. Just remember that you heard it here first yeah?
